"The Liberator" got National Award of Distinguished Media on Human Rights,
or Press Award 2004


Amnesty International Thailand, a national organisation advocating for human rights through research and dissemination of information on human rights violations with a focus on prevention and stop of violation of all physical and mental rights, freedom of expression and discrimination under the context of human rights promotion. It has offices in over 150 countries around the world. It announced and presented award for human rights media 2004 at Imperial Queens' Park 3, Imperial Queens' Park Hotel, Sukhumvit 22 on December 9, 2004.
An award for distinguished media on human rights for 2004 is a TV programme on Khon Khon Khon (Human Being Searches for Human Beings) produced by Burapha TV Company and aired on TV Channel 9 of Mass Communication Organisation of Thailand. There are also three outstanding awards presented to a TV program "Decoding" (Thod Rahut) a series on "Mango selling boy" produced by ITV, "Pajarayasarn" Journal published by Sathira Koses - Nagapratheep Journal and "The Liberator" Journal published by Catholic Commission for Justice and Peace. The award presentations were made by Professor Saneh Jamarik, chairperson of National Human Rights Commission.
